GOLD CLUB MEMBERS contribute additional funds towards the betterment of the IMTA and the trucking industry. The funds received supports initiatives that give back to the membership and would not otherwise be possible. One of these initiatives is the Kelley School of Business annual scholarship program. Each year one student is chosen to continue their education in the Transportation and Logistics Field and a special presentation is held to honor their achievements. Gold Club members are recognized on the IMTA website, with a link to their website, and at our annual conference.
FROM THE 2020 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT...
Dear IMTA,
Thank you for providing this opportunity for me to continue my education at the Kelley School of Business at IUPUI. During this difficult time, I appreciate the support more than you can imagine. My family was never able to financially support my college education, so I have been supporting myself for two years, and using scholarships and working as much as I can to get myself through college. I am going to take iCore next semester which is the hardest course in the Kelley School of Business. Worrying about how to pay for my education while I am trying to get my education is very difficult. Which is why it means so much that you would offer me this scholarship to help fund my education. When I graduate, I would like to work in supply chain management, and eventually own my own business. I know that it is a hard time for many businesses, but you can also see how much our community relies on businesses to survive. I want to help my community by creating jobs and opportunities for those around me. I also hope to one day be able to provide a scholarship to help a student reach their goals. Thank you again for supporting my education. Thanks to your generosity, I can focus even more on improving myself through obtaining an education, and helping me reach goals that I have had since I was a little girl. Sincerely, Rhiannon Johns |
