As Vice President of Operations at Dragonfli Group, LLC, Shaun oversees the operational infrastructure of a specialized IT and cybersecurity consulting firm serving federal, state, and critical-infrastructure clients across highly regulated industries including Energy & Utilities, Aerospace & Defense, and Financial Services. In this role, he is responsible for strategic planning, process optimization, compliance oversight, and the development and management of internal AI and automation systems that drive efficiency across recruiting, knowledge management, and security operations.

Shaun’s path to cybersecurity operations is one defined by discipline, adaptability, and a deep commitment to protecting people and systems. Before transitioning into the tech industry in 2022, Shaun spent nearly two decades in healthcare and functional performance — fields where data privacy, patient confidentiality, and front-line security practices are not abstract concepts, but daily responsibilities. Working with sensitive patient health information across clinical environments instilled in him a foundational understanding of why security culture must be built from the ground up, not imposed from the top down — a philosophy he carries into his work at Dragonfli Group today.

At Dragonfli Group, Shaun has been instrumental in building and managing internal automation ecosystems leveraging AI tools These systems directly support the firm’s operational security posture — driving measurable efficiencies, reducing operational costs, and improving delivery timelines across client engagements. His hands-on experience implementing AI within operational frameworks gives him a practical, ground-level perspective on the opportunities and risks that AI adoption presents — particularly for industries, like transportation and logistics, that are increasingly becoming targets of sophisticated cyber threats.

Shaun’s background also includes experience managing internal and external audits and remediation efforts for clients operating under strict regulatory requirements, providing him with keen insight into the compliance landscape that transportation organizations are beginning to navigate. His career trajectory — spanning finance, retail operations, entrepreneurship, healthcare, and now cybersecurity — equips him with a uniquely cross-disciplinary lens through which he approaches complex operational and security challenges.

Shaun holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The George Washington University, a Master of Science in Exercise Science from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from James Madison University.
